Lisa Ruda – Superintendent
Lisa Ruda loves St. HOPE’s tight-knit community, saying the bond she sees between teachers and students is very special. She has seen first-hand the way high-quality education transforms students’ lives and is excited to lead St. HOPE Public Schools toward continued success in closing the achievement gap.
Lisa has worked for many years in leadership positions at large school districts where she focused on school operations, facilities, information systems, enrollment, and recruitment. Prior to joining St. HOPE she served as Chief of Staff, General Counsel, and Deputy Chancellor for two large urban school districts.
A firm believer in empowering scholars to reach their full potential, Lisa says she is continually inspired to see St. HOPE scholars graduate and go on to do amazing things. She truly loves SHPS’s school spirit and commitment to excellence. In her free time, Lisa thoroughly enjoys her seven godchildren, who range in age from 5 to 35. Keeping up with their escapades generally fills up her free time!
