FREE College Tours

Picking a college is one of the most important decisions young adults make in their lives, and definitely the most important of their Senior year of high school.  Our goal at Sac High is to ensure our scholars understand and know all of the options and opportunities open to them in regards to college choices!  In order to do this and truly live out our vision of our scholars going to and through college, we recently hosted two all-expenses-paid college tours for our seniors to help them determine which university is best suited for them. Our first trip was to the Bay Area where scholars visited CSU East Bay, CSU Monterey Bay, San Francisco State, and San Jose State. The second trip was to Southern California where our scholars explored UCLA, CSU Bakersfield, CSU Los Angeles, CSU Fullerton, Fresno State, and Long Beach State. Both trips enabled our scholars to experience the different campus cultures and learn about academic and extracurricular opportunities available.

What made these trips even better? The entire experience— including transportation, lodging, and meals – was free for our scholars! This not only made the trips accessible, but it allowed our scholars to focus on learning about their future colleges without the added stress of logistics or costs.

These tours provided invaluable opportunities for our scholars to explore different campuses, meet with college representatives, and experience firsthand what life might be like at these schools. Being able to step foot on the campuses they’ve been hearing about for years, get a sense of the community, and envision themselves as college students helped our scholars get one step closer to making informed choices about their educational futures.
